Founder & Pilgrimage Travel Expert
Uttar Pradesh, India
Amit Kumar Deshwal was born in Uttar Pradesh, and the pilgrimage circuit he now plans for a living is the one he grew up around. What began as showing visitors the temples he already knew has become a full travel operation — but the working knowledge underneath it is still first-hand.
More than 15,000 guests have travelled with him. Families, elderly parents, first-time visitors and large temple groups — enough of them, over enough years, that very little surprises him now. He knows which darshan queue is worth joining at seven in the morning, which one is not, and what to do when a temple changes its timings on a festival day without telling anyone.
His ground is Ayodhya and Varanasi, extending west into the Braj circuit of Mathura, Vrindavan and Agra. That range matters more than it sounds: it is the difference between handing a guest an itinerary and being able to say, from having stood there, how long the walk actually takes.
The reason Ayodhya Varanasi Guides exists is a frustration he heard from guests over and over — a different agent for the cab, another for the hotel, a third for the guide, and nobody accountable when a darshan slot fell through. His answer was to put all of it in one place, under one number, with the pricing written down before anyone travels.
Every itinerary on this site is planned or reviewed by Amit and his team, and corrected whenever conditions on the ground change.

Package Overview
Ayodhya Varanasi Prayagraj Tour Package from Bangalore is a specially designed 6 Days/5 Nights pilgrimage tour covering three of India’s most sacred spiritual destinations. This journey offers devotees the opportunity to seek blessings at the divine Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, experience the spiritual energy of Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, and take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.
The package includes comfortable accommodation, private transfers, guided sightseeing, and visits to major temples, ghats, and religious attractions. From witnessing the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat to exploring the ancient heritage of Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Prayagraj, this pilgrimage tour provides a well-planned and peaceful spiritual experience for families, couples, and senior pilgrims traveling from Bangalore.
Bangalore enjoys the best air connectivity to this circuit among all South Indian cities, with roughly 20 daily departures to Varanasi across IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express and Akasa Air, covering 1,465 km in about 2 hours 30 minutes. Since you are starting the yatra at Ayodhya, the practical route is to fly Bangalore to Lucknow direct and cover the remaining 135 km to Ayodhya by road in around 2 hours 30 minutes on the expressway. Direct flights to Ayodhya's Maharishi Valmiki International Airport also operate on select days, and we plan around whichever option suits your travel dates best.
Route Option | Travel Time | Best For |
|---|---|---|
Bangalore → Lucknow direct, then road to Ayodhya | ~2.5 hr flight + 2.5 hr drive | Most reliable, recommended |
Bangalore → Ayodhya direct (select days) | ~2.5 hrs | Fastest when scheduled |
Return: Varanasi → Bangalore direct | ~2 hr 35 min, 18 daily flights | Effortless return leg |
Train from Bangalore | 35+ hrs | Budget travellers only |
Fares are typically lowest when booked around 6 weeks ahead, and October tends to be the cheapest month on this sector. We arrange complimentary pickup from Lucknow or Ayodhya airport on arrival and drop at Varanasi airport on departure.
In short: Fly Bangalore to Lucknow and drive 2.5 hours to Ayodhya, travel one-directionally through Prayagraj to Varanasi, and return on one of the 18 daily direct Varanasi–Bangalore flights.
This 6 days and 5 nights itinerary moves in a single direction from Lord Ram's birthplace to the sacred confluence and finally to the eternal city of Shiva. The extra days compared to a rushed 4-day trip mean two full days in Varanasi, which is where most pilgrims wish they had more time.
Day | Location | Key Experiences | Overnight |
|---|---|---|---|
Day 1 | Bangalore → Ayodhya | Arrival, Hanuman Garhi, Saryu Aarti | Ayodhya |
Day 2 | Ayodhya | Ram Mandir darshan, temple circuit | Ayodhya |
Day 3 | Ayodhya → Prayagraj | Triveni Sangam holy dip | Prayagraj |
Day 4 | Prayagraj → Varanasi | Kashi Vishwanath, Ganga Aarti | Varanasi |
Day 5 | Varanasi | Sunrise boat ride, Sarnath | Varanasi |
Day 6 | Varanasi → Departure | Subah-e-Banaras, BHU temples, airport drop | — |
In short: A one-directional 6-day circuit beginning at Ayodhya and ending at Varanasi, with two unhurried days in Kashi and no backtracking.

Travel Plan
Your yatra begins with a morning flight from Bangalore, landing at Lucknow where our representative meets you for a comfortable AC transfer covering the 135 km to Ayodhya in about two and a half hours on the expressway. After checking into your hotel near the temple and freshening up, you begin darshan at Hanuman Garhi, following the tradition that devotees seek Hanuman's blessings before approaching Ram Lalla. As evening falls, you reach Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of the Saryu for the Saryu Aarti, where rows of diyas light the ghats and Vedic chanting carries across the water. Overnight stay in Ayodhya.
Day 1 summary: Flight from Bangalore to Lucknow, smooth transfer to Ayodhya, darshan at Hanuman Garhi as per tradition, and the peaceful evening Saryu Aarti at Ram Ki Paidi.
The day starts early, because morning brings the calmest darshan at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. You proceed for the Sugam Darshan of Ram Lalla, standing before the deity in the magnificent new temple — the moment most pilgrims describe as the heart of the entire journey. The rest of the morning covers Kanak Bhawan, the golden palace temple gifted to Sita, followed by Dashrath Mahal and Sita Ki Rasoi, all within comfortable walking distance. The afternoon takes you to Nageshwarnath Temple and Guptar Ghat, with your guide sharing the story behind each site. Overnight stay in Ayodhya.
Day 2 summary: Early morning Ram Lalla Sugam Darshan at Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, followed by Kanak Bhawan, Dashrath Mahal, Sita Ki Rasoi, Nageshwarnath Temple and Guptar Ghat.
After an early breakfast, you depart for Prayagraj, a comfortable drive of about 165 km taking 4 to 5 hours by private AC cab. On arrival, you head straight to the Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati, for a boat ride to the meeting point of the rivers and a holy dip considered among the most auspicious rituals in Hindu tradition. The evening covers darshan at the Hanuman Mandir with its famous reclining idol, the ancient Akshayavat immortal banyan tree, and Patalpuri Temple within the Allahabad Fort area. Overnight stay in Prayagraj.
Day 3 summary: A 165 km drive to Prayagraj followed by the Triveni Sangam boat ride and holy dip, Hanuman Mandir, Akshayavat and Patalpuri Temple darshan.
The morning drive from Prayagraj to Varanasi covers roughly 125 km in 3 to 4 hours. After checking into your hotel near the ghats, you proceed for darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple through the grand Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor — the 12th Jyotirlinga and the spiritual heart of Kashi. The tour continues to Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and Annapurna Devi Mandir. As the sun sets, you take your place for the world-famous Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, best experienced from a private boat on the river rather than the crowded steps. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 4 summary: Drive to Varanasi, Kashi Vishwanath corridor darshan, Sankat Mochan and Annapurna Devi temples, and the iconic evening Ganga Aarti from a private boat.
The day begins before dawn with the most memorable experience of Kashi — a sunrise boat ride on the Ganga, gliding past the 84 sacred ghats as the city wakes to temple bells and prayers. You witness the morning rituals at Assi Ghat and the eternal flames of Manikarnika Ghat from the water. After breakfast and some rest, the afternoon takes you to Sarnath, just 10 km away, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon — home to the Dhamek Stupa, the Ashoka Pillar remains and the archaeological museum. The evening is kept free to walk the ghats at your own pace. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 5 summary: Sunrise Ganga boat ride across the 84 ghats, Assi Ghat and Manikarnika darshan, an afternoon at Sarnath, and a free evening by the riverfront.
Your final morning in Kashi is relaxed and unhurried. You begin with Subah-e-Banaras at Assi Ghat, the sunrise ritual of Vedic chanting, yoga and classical music that welcomes the day on the riverfront. After breakfast, you visit the New Vishwanath Temple inside the peaceful BHU campus, followed by Tulsi Manas Mandir where the Ramcharitmanas was composed, and the striking red Durga Temple at Durga Kund. If time permits, we stop at a genuine Banarasi silk weaving unit where you can watch the handloom work and buy an authentic saree directly from the weavers. You are then transferred to Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport for your direct return flight to Bangalore.
Day 6 summary: Subah-e-Banaras at Assi Ghat, New Vishwanath Temple at BHU, Tulsi Manas Mandir and Durga Temple, an optional Banarasi silk visit, and a transfer to Varanasi airport for the direct flight home.
